   The Quran is the greatest gift of Allah to us. It is a complete book of guidance revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) through Holy Spirit Gabriel (A.S.). It contains 114 surah (chapters), 6236 verses (ayat) and 323621 letters. There are 90 surah which revealed in Mecca and 24 surah revealed in Medina. It was revealed in portions and completed approximately in a period of 23 years. Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation in ther cave ‘Hira’. The first five verse of ‘Al Alaq’ revealed to Prophet as his first revelation. The Quran deals matter related to social, political, historical, cultural and spiritual and so on. It is a guide and enlightenment for all mankind.
