About the magazine

   Get, Set, KNOW! is an annual (previously semi-annual), multifaceted magazine which publishes a wide range of articles, stories and poems. With authors across the globe and from a wide spectrum of ages, GSK seeks to bring forward interesting facts and tales written as such to invoke curiosity and fascination among its readers. Loaded with sections having mountains, satellites, artefacts, fruits, deep sea creatures and more, GSK has plenty of options to interest readers and writers alike. Having started back in 2014, the magazine has seen a total of nine issues (check ‘em out under the ’Issues’ tab above) available in pdf format. As of now, print circulation has been limited; hardcopies are going to be available soon!

Submission Guidelines
Submissions are open year-round; anything sent in the time frame of 15 May to 15 June is considered for the following issue instead. Any piece to be considered for publication has to be

• Well written, formatted, and adequately paragraphed. Stick to the standard 12pt Times New Roman double - spaced and you have already nailed down an essential prerequisite.


• Be original. We don’t seek reprints, but something published earlier in a personal blog is acceptable.


• Fit in one of our sections. Though we do feature occasional miscellaneous articles, it’s a good idea to have a look on what sort of stuff we have published before.


• Within the word limit – that’s 350 – 750 words for articles and under 500 for stories. Poems that fit a page are preferable, but longer pieces are acceptable.


• In English. Translations are welcome, but do mention the translator’s details too.

The Submission Process

Once all the above parameters have been met, you can look forward to submitting!
• Submissions are accepted electronically through the email getsetknowmagazine@gmail.com.


• Please place your article in an attached .docx or .doc (.pdf makes it tougher for us) file and not in the body of the mail itself.


• As a contributor, full name and institution of work (eg. Dr. Ghulam Nadri, Associate Professor, History Department, Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA) must be provided. GSK is not accountable for any other data you provide us, though only


• Once your mail has been sent, an acknowledgement mail will be sent in confirmation within 2-3 days. You may resend the mail in case you receive no acknowledgment.


• We take about a week to determine a piece fit for publication, after which the contributor is informed. Please do not send any inquires in this frame of time.


• Rejected articles won’t be considered for publication again, no matter how many times you send them.


• It is preferred that your article submission be more of an article than a blog – you are free to put in your opinion but an article should function more as a source of knowledge on the topic for the reader.
